An armour made in the late 15th century gothic style. This style was popular in Germany in the 1480s.

This armour was built in stages and I continue to work on and modify it. This photograph is from January of 2009.

Gothic armour orginated in Germany towards the second half of the 15th century. It is characterised by spikeyness, fluting and punch & filework.

This style has it's counterpart in Milanese or Italian armour, which is characterized by smooth surfaces and round and robust forms.
